About KV Gumla

Kendriya Vidyalaya (in Hindi : केन्द्रीय विद्यालय) is a system of Central Government schools under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The system came into being in 1962 under the name "Central Schools" and has been affiliated with CBSE since then. Later, the name was changed to Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Kendriya Vidyalaya, Gumla came into existence in salubrious environs in the month of May 2008 to provide an opportunity through quality education. A co-educational school with unity in diversity is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Classes running from 1 to 12. Students take the AISSE (class X) and AISSCE (class XII) Exam in the month of March every year.

The Vidyalaya started with a humble beginning in Temporary Accommodation provided by the District Administration. A healthy child centered education and activity-oriented approach in the teaching learning process facilitates the holistic development of children.
